  • Notes
    • Departed Liverpool, England and arrived 24 Jun 1912 in Quebec, Canada.

Grandma Irene Paavola stated that his family had left for the state while he was gone training reindeer. Upon learning this he saved his money to be a ticket to get to the US. He had a ticket for the Titanic but missed the ship and ended up taking the next ship.

I believe that Henry ended up on the SS Canada which was part of a passenger service jointly operated by the White Star Line and Dominion Line (the Titanic was part of the White Star Line). The Titanic departed on 10 April 1912 so the story that he missed the Titanic is plausible.
