Be it known that weZachariahHaddock and Cloe Haddock of the State of North Carolina and County ofPitittfor and in consideration of the sum of Seventy five pounds to me in handbefore the ensealing hereof well and truly paid by Nasby Mills of thestateand county aforesaid the receipt whereof acknowledged myself therewithfullysatisfied and paid granted bargained sold conveyed and confirmed unto himthe said Nasby Mills his heirs assigns forever one messuage tract orparcelof land situated in the county aforesaid and on the south side of ChicodCreek beginning at cypress on the edge of said creek then running southeighty west one hundred and four poles to a black oak Pasetons cornerthensouth twenty east ninety poles to a pine near the Long Pond Branch thenceupthe said creek the various courses thereof to the beginning containing byestimation forty five acres be the same more or less it being part of apattent granted to Simon Taylor, to have and to hold the said bargainedlandand premisses with all privileges and commodities thereunto belonging orinanywise appurtaining to him the said Nasby Mills his heirs and assignsforever one third part during the life of Unice Albritton only excepted andwethe said Zachariah Haddock and Cloe Haddock do covenant to warrant andforever defend the said bargained land and premisses of Uncie Albrittononlyexcepted to his the said Nasby Mills his heirs and assigns against thelawful claim of any person or persons whatsoever claimingly from or underusour heirs and assigns forever in Witness whereof we have hereunto set ourhands and seal this 11 day of Jan 1806 ... In presence of us: Wm. Broom,Benjm. Paxton. Cloe Haddock [her mark] Pitt County, November Term 1806.This deed was exhibited into open court and proved in due form of law bytheoat of William Broom one of the subscribing witnesses thereto ordered toberecorded.
