| Notes |
- Entered Service in 1779 served 3 months as a private under Captn Samuel Barrow, Colonel Seawell and Sitgraves NC Regiment. In 1780 he served under Captn Wiulliam Herritage and Major Pasteur, Three Months
He left a will which was evidently destroyed in the Pitt County NC Courthouse fire, for references to it were made in subsequent land deeds. Nasby had extensive land holdings in the Black Jack area which he passed on to his children. The names of Nasby and Keziah "Kizzie" have been passed down for many generations, even until today.
Nasby was a soldier in the Revolutionary War, and was pensioned as such. His pension records are in the North Carolina State Archives.
